(Washington, D.C.)– On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, Rep. Jill Tokuda will be in Hilo, Hawaiʻi for her first Tokuda in Your Town event to help constituents navigate the federal government and its agencies.
Rep. Tokdua and staff will be at the Hilo Public Library on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 12:00pm-3:00pm to answer questions, field concerns, and most importantly, take direct and appropriate action.
“Navigating the federal government and its agencies can be difficult and time consuming. As your U.S. Representative, I am committed to making sure that you have an advocate on your side and that you can access all the resources that the federal government can provide. From passport issues, IRS, immigration, Social Security benefits, veteran's benefits, and more— we are here to help. Constituents can submit support requests online using my website, but I want to make sure that we're serving all of our ohana— especially those who just have questions, might not have access to the internet, or are unsure if they qualify for support. While we cannot guarantee a favorable outcome, we will do our best to help people in Hawaiʻi’s Second Congressional to ensure a fair and timely response to the issue or connect them with the relevant state and local authorities.” said Rep. Jill Tokuda.
Tokuda plans to hold future events on neighbor islands. Constituents with questions should call Rep. Tokuda’s Hawaiʻi office at (808) 746-6220 or visit tokuda.house.gov.
