Each Spring, the U.S. House of Representatives sponsors a high school art competition in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories to showcase their artistic talent. The Artistic Discovery Contest is open to all high school students in Hawaii's Second Congressional District.
Congresswoman Tokuda's office is accepting submissions now through Friday, April 11, 2025.
The winning artwork of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol in the Cannon tunnel, which Members of Congress use every day as well as tens of thousands of visitors. The winning artwork is also featured on House.gov's Congressional Art Competition page and Congresswoman Tokuda's website and social media pages.
Due dates and submittal requirements are as follows:
- A photo of the completed art and a completed student release form must be submitted to TokudaHawaiiOffice@mail.house.gov by Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
- The physical artwork must be mailed or delivered to our office by Friday, April 11, 2025, 5:00pm Hawaiʻi time:
