Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Jill Tokuda (HI-02) issued the following statement, marking the two-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, which eliminated the constitutional right to an abortion.
“The Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade remains one of the biggest threats to the health and safety of women across the country. Two years later, the consequences of the Dobbs decision continue to grow, and the impacts are being felt in every aspect of life for women, including their ability to access emergency care and contraceptives. Decisions about a person’s body, life, and future are deeply personal and should remain in their hands, not politicians’. This fight is far from over; we will continue fighting like hell to make sure everyone can access the health care they need and deserve.”
